How to Prepare Your Artwork for Professional Printing

Preparing your artwork correctly helps ensure that printed marketing materials look clear, professional, and consistent with your design. Review the product dimensions, available paper options, and finishing specifications before placing your printing order.

Use High-Resolution Images

For most printed marketing materials, artwork prepared at 300 DPI at final print size helps produce sharp text and detailed images. Avoid enlarging low-resolution images because doing so can reduce print quality.

Allow Space for Bleed and Safe Margins

Designs extending to the finished edge generally require bleed beyond the trim line. Keep important text, logos, and contact information inside the recommended safe area. Follow the specifications for your selected printing product.

Review Your Design Before Ordering

Check spelling, telephone numbers, website addresses, artwork positioning, and promotional expiration dates before submitting your order. Confirm that the finished size and quantity match your marketing needs.

Choose Printing That Fits Your Campaign

Business cards help customers retain contact information. Postcards and flyers can promote sales and special offers. Brochures provide additional room for product details, while direct mail printing can help businesses distribute promotional materials.
