How Much Does an EDDM Postcard Campaign Cost in 2026?
An EDDM postcard campaign has three costs: printing, shipping the printed cards to you, and USPS postage. With our buy-one-get-one pricing, 5,000 EDDM-size 6″ × 11″ postcards cost $639 to print (12.8¢ each) and about $160 to ship to Austin, Texas, so $798.75 delivered before postage. Postage is paid to USPS per piece when you drop the mailing off.
What does the printing cost?
Printing is the part we control, and it drops sharply as quantity rises. These are our current prices for the postcard sizes that qualify for EDDM. Every tier is buy-one-get-one: you pay for the smaller number and receive the larger.

Printing is on 16pt card stock with UV or matte coating. If you want us to design the card, that is a one-time fee: $69 for the 4.25″ × 11″ and $89 for the larger sizes.
What does shipping add?
Your cards ship UPS Ground from the nearest of our six print hubs (Ohio, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Arizona and California), at wholesale rates that are never more than 85% of the retail UPS estimate. For the same 5,000 6″ × 11″ postcards:
- To Austin, TX (78701), shipped from Arlington, TX: $159.75, so $798.75 delivered
- To New York, NY (10001), shipped from Moonachie, NJ: $129.31, so $768.31 delivered
- To Chicago, IL (60601), shipped from Dayton, OH: $159.75, so $798.75 delivered

What about USPS postage?
EDDM postage is paid directly to the Post Office per piece, at the current EDDM Retail rate, when you drop off your bundles. USPS adjusts that rate from time to time, so check the current figure on the USPS EDDM site or call us and we'll tell you where it stands today. To budget, multiply the number of pieces by that per-piece rate and add it to the delivered printing cost above.
A worked example
Say a home-services business wants to reach about 2,400 households on four carrier routes, three times over the spring:
- Pieces needed: 2,400 × 3 mailings = 7,200 postcards.
- Printing: the 10,000 tier of 6″ × 11″ postcards is $799, which covers all three waves with room to spare (8.0¢ each).
- Shipping: calculated from your ZIP in the builder; for most of the country it is a small share of the order.
- Postage: 7,200 × the current EDDM Retail rate, paid at each drop.
Printing once for all three waves is usually cheaper than three separate small runs, because the per-piece price falls so much at the higher tiers.
How can you lower the total?
- Print the larger tier once and mail it in waves to the same routes.
- Choose the 4.25″ × 11″ size if one clear offer fits: it is the least expensive EDDM-eligible postcard at every quantity.
- Keep one design for the whole run, so the one-time design fee is paid once.
